Talisman Wallet

Talisman Wallet is a non-custodial wallet built for the Polkadot and Substrate ecosystem. It allows users to manage DOT, interact with parachains and participate in staking.

It is designed to simplify the Polkadot experience compared to more technical alternatives like Polkadot.js.

Talisman allows you to:

• Store DOT and KSM

• Interact with parachains

• Stake DOT

• Connect to Substrate-based dApps

• Manage EVM parachains like Moonbeam

It is available as a browser extension.

Your private keys remain fully under your control.

Talisman generates or imports a wallet using a 12 or 24-word recovery phrase.

Basic workflow:

1. Install the extension

2. Create or import wallet

3. Secure recovery phrase

4. Stake DOT directly

5. Connect to parachain dApps

6. Approve transactions

Polkadot uses a relay chain + parachain structure:

• Relay chain → Polkadot

• Parachains → independent connected networks

All operations are recorded on-chain.

Use Talisman Wallet when you:

• Hold DOT or KSM

• Stake DOT

• Use Polkadot parachains

• Want simpler UX than Polkadot.js

Not ideal if you:

• Operate mainly on EVM chains

• Need a mobile wallet
