mempool.space is a website where you can look up Bitcoin transactions, blocks and addresses. It focuses on the transaction fee market and the multi-layer Bitcoin ecosystem. It is a mempool visualizer, explorer and API service.

It suits beginners who want to check whether a transaction is confirmed. It also suits more advanced users and developers who want fee data, an API, or their own self-hosted copy. The project is Bitcoin only by design. The software is free and licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License.

1. Open mempool.space in your browser.
2. Paste a transaction ID, address or block number into the search bar.
3. Read the status of the transaction, such as unconfirmed or confirmed.
4. Check the fee and block data to see how your transaction compares with others waiting.
5. Optional: self-host your own instance, from a one-click install on a Raspberry Pi full node distro to a larger server.
6. Optional: developers can use the REST and WebSocket API for real-time updates.
